Davidson as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective May 22, 2023. Following an extensive search and selection process for a successor in collaboration with Greg Boutin, Relay's departing CEO and founder, Davidson emerged as the ideal candidate to lead Relay into a new era of growth, expansion, and innovation.
With a remarkable background in insurance technology, Davidson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. Previously serving as the Global Head of Insurance at ServiceNow, Davidson helped establish their insurance practice, revolutionizing front, middle, and back-office operations through streamlined, low-code workflow capabilities. Aaron previously served in leadership roles at Guidewire Software, McKinsey & Company, and Aon, including as a cyber & professional liability broker.

Davidson assumes the position of CEO from Greg Boutin, who served as Founder and CEO since 2018. Under Boutin’s visionary leadership, Relay transitioned from its reinsurance roots to commercial lines, gaining remarkable traction as a Cyber insurance multi-carrier placement solution. Relay forged partnerships with leading brokerages, MGAs, and carriers, earning prestigious industry accolades and recognition such as a Global InsurTech 100 company for three consecutive years.
After securing $8.25M in funding from venture capital and business angels, Boutin led the acquisition of Relay by At-Bay, Inc. in 2022 - a decision underpinned by his strategic move to reduce financial barriers to entry for brokers to use the platform and to democratize broker access to a superior, sustainable alternative to proprietary carrier portals. At-Bay preserved Relay’s independence and is one of several cyber carriers on the platform.
Relay extends its deepest appreciation to Boutin for his exceptional leadership over the past four years. His invaluable contributions have played a pivotal role in the company's growth and success. As the transition unfolds, Boutin will oversee the transfer of responsibilities to Davidson over the coming month.
